ABOUT THE PROJECT
As a senior at the Collegiate High School at Northwest Florida State College, I am required to complete a year-long senior project to include field work, a research paper, a portfolio, and a presentation to a panel of judges. For my field work, I have chosen to teach a creative writing class to students entering grades 3 - 6. The class will cover poetry and prose, and will include local experts as well as interactive writing activities.
Capstone
Capstone is designed to help students grow and is a graduation requirement for Collegiate High School. 15 hours of field work, a 5 to 8 page research paper, a portfolio, and a judged presentation are the major components to the Capstone Project.

Why a Creative Writing Workshop?
I chose to teach a creative writing workshop because I wanted to actively learn about the career field I want to go into: English education. I felt this project would merge my love of writing and my passion to teach others.
